So we found a decent car this weekend and it checks out but we still have to wait until Friday to get it :/

Admittedly, we've waited FOUR MONTH for this, so another few days is hardly going to kill us.

If you don't know the story yet, here goes...

We had a car accident in February this year.  Tanya got some bruises, we both got a moerse skrik and our trusty early-90s Tazz got written off :(

Then the Toyota dealership took forever to "deregister" the car so insurance couldn't pay out.  Don't know how true that is but, ja, I was Carlos (pora without a car) for 4 months.  It was kak and getting married in the  middle of those 4 months was a bietjie difficult considering our lack of a vaheeeeeekle!

Any hoo, we found a white 1996 Ford Escort GL 1.6i and it's got power-steering, aircon and it seems like it's in good nick.  My boet-in-law (who's a mechanic) checked it out for us.  No obvious signs of an accident, no smoke, engine sounds good and everything's standard.

I managed to knock R1k off the price so it's also a bit of a bargain.

Thing is, we found this baby on Saturday and it's Wednesday evening and I'm getting impatient.  At least, as of next week, I can actually schedule meetings again and get on with things!  Awesomeness!  </end rant><!-- technorati tags begin -->
